The Deal of the Year Award recognizes an exceptional real estate transaction involving two or more members of CREW St. Louis that clearly exemplifies the goals and purposes of CREW: members doing deals together. Any member of CREW St. Louis may submit nominations in this category. The submission should portray a real estate transaction that involves multiple members of CREW St. Louis working with each other to do the deal. Please include a detailed description, time duration, and outcomes. Judging criteria include:
- The size, complexity and dollar value of the transaction
- The number of individual members involved
- The number of professional disciplines involved
- Names and business affiliations of CREW members involved. Please note if they are CREW members locally or member of another CREW chapter. Emphasis will be given to networking within CREW St. Louis, but use of additional CREW Chapter resources will be taken into consideration
- Every real estate transaction is unique: What other issues, features, etc. would you like to provide to assist the Judges in understanding the transaction?
- Transaction completion date. Transaction should have occurred between June 1, 2006 and November 30, 2007
Networking Story of the Year
The Networking Story of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding networking experience between two or more members of CREW St. Louis. Nominations in this category are not limited to real estate transactions, but rather can include career development opportunities, such as employment and business referrals. Any member of CREW St. Louis may submit a nomination in this category. The submission should portray a networking experience involving multiple members using the opportunities presented by CREW St. Louis to network and further enhance their careers. Judging criteria will include:
- The number of members involved
- The number of professional disciplines involved
- The creativity and complexity of the networking experience
- The resulting level of impact on an individual or business
New Member of the Year
The CREW St. Louis New Member of the Year Award recognizes outstanding involvement and exemplary support by a new member of CREW St. Louis through their contribution to the development of CREW St. Louis and its members. Nominations in this category may only be submitted by a CREW St. Louis Committee Chair or Board Member. The judging criteria will include:
- Must be a “New” member of CREW St. Louis – joined the chapter in 2006 or 2007
- Promoting CREW St. Louis networking benefits and membership opportunities
- Demonstrating continuous and expanding involvement with CREW St. Louis
- Encouraging financial support of CREW St. Louis and its chapter events
- Encouraging principals and employees of the nominee’s company to participate in CREW St. Louis and chapter events
- Exhibiting a strong sense of enthusiasm, volunteerism and reliability
Spirit of CREW Award
The CREW St. Louis Spirit of CREW Award recognizes outstanding involvement and support by any member of CREW St. Louis through their contribution to the development of CREW St. Louis and its members. The submission should reflect a member whose participation in CREW St. Louis displays energy, enthusiasm, commitment and a willingness to aid CREW St. Louis in our endeavourers and projects within the commercial real estate forum.
How will the winner be selected?
All submissions will be reviewed by committee of judges consisting of past CREW St. Louis Presidents and Awards and Recognition Committee members. The ideal award winner will showcase the diversity of CREW St. Louis members’ experience and talents whether by showcasing a premier example of the commercial real estate business in the St. Louis metropolitan marketplace or by showcasing the power of the networking experience CREW St. Louis membership provides. Factors to be given strong consideration by the Judging Committee include (i) the number of CREW members involved; (ii) the number of real estate disciplines involved; and, for the Deal of the Year award, (iii) project complexity. Transaction size (in terms of dollars and/or physical size) alone will not be a factor. The Committee urges you to submit a project that you feel was significant for you in the past year even if it does not met 100% of the above-referenced criteria. We would like a broad representation of deals from CREW St. Louis members.
